"Oops, looks like we are already going to move!" Her voice still held excitement. Then her eyes widened and she gasped. "Wait, did you tell my mom what to do? It's her first time too!"

"Sure, I did." Derek replied in a soft voice and got up from his seat.

"Oh that's such a relief." She breathed but her expression changed subtly. She didn't want to show it but she felt sad. Was Derek going to leave? She didn't want him to! But how the hell would she tell him to stay?

"Will you be okay?" Derek asked, as if he had seen through her facade.

Rory just stared at him, not knowing what to say. To lie or to tell the truth.

Derek walked closer to her.
