Capítulo 95: Live to regret

Ivo went down the stairs after Letícia, taking each step with a dancer's care, and cursing himself under his breath. The entire house was quiet. The servants left to their own places as soon as the D'Amicos retired, only those who lived on the premises, like the security team, were still around.

Davi was supposed to deal with them, and he must have because Ivo didn't see anyone on his tentative way into the living room. He was probably now upstairs, in either Guilherme's or Sara's room, finishing them off. Ivo only had to put Letícia in bed and leave the rest to Davi.

He could hear voices coming from the hallway, a ray of light cut an acute angle across the sleek panelled wall.

Muffled against fabric, Letícia's voice sounded small, more childish than ever, "You came, you really came."

Ivo dashed down the hallway and towards the door, but remained hidden in the shadows.

"Letícia come here, you need to go to bed."
