Capítulo 35: I didn't do that for you

The only source of light in the room was the glow from Thiago's workstation, flashing through a series of blues, greens and reds. Casting ghostly shadows across Davi's still features, turning his burnished skin sallow. 

Ivo noticed all of this distantly, because his attention was caught by the bandages wrapped around Davi's torso, and the faint lines of blood seeping through them. 

He'd gotten the impression that Kuroda hadn't just been whipping Davi at random. But the cruelty of seeing that bloody outline take up all of Davi's torso in the shape of the star on his back still made him dizzy.

He knelt by the headboard, his head swimming with panic, throat tight with bile. 

The slashes weren't very thick, but they were deep, that was obvious from how much they had bled then, and still did now. Meant to scar.
