The carriage arrived at the palace grounds. Rosie's heart was beating really fast. She heard the footsteps of the knights who welcomed the return of the royal princess and the prince. Rosie wasn't ready to meet her father or mother yet.
However, while Rosie was busy calming herself, the carriage door was opened from the outside by a guard in basil armor and a rifle he held in his other hand.
Howland went down first.
"Home sweet home!" he exclaimed while stretching out his arms. The man stepped aside to help Rosie to get off the carriage. Rosie, who didn't dare to come out, was still sitting where she was. She didn't even dare to peek at what was outside the window.
"Rosie?" Howland called, making Rosie twitch.
She saw Howland's hand was outstretched in front of her as the man waited for Rosie to come down. She reassured herself that everything would be fine as long as Howland was by her side.
