Zoe was sitting under the moonlight on the patio of the villa while everyone else was sleeping except for the soldiers stationed on duty. She was staring at the darkness blankly, the feelings in her heart bitter and a little less muddled up right now.
She didn't go to the dining room to have dinner with everyone else, instead, she ordered it in her bedroom. For some reason, she felt sad and complicated. She hated being entangled like this. There was nothing she could do to ease this weird feeling that had her heart squeezed.
You know what's difficult being a writer. As a reader, we love to find escapism in books but when you are a writer and life punch you out of nowhere, rendering you incapable of anything, you have to go back to the same tone you started writing the book in.
