"Did you just call your father an old fool?" 

"He's probably not even my father. You've probably had that flicker of doubt the moment you laid your eyes on me. Knowing my mother, she probably slept with some random man or something." 

Away from the thousands of pairs of eyes, Meira radiated an entirely different aura, one of blatant power-hungriness. If before, she masked it with her manners and eloquence, now, the desire was raw.

"Why are you saying this to me?" Daphne inched away, eyeing the clothing rack in the corner of the room. If worse came to worse, she could use that as a weapon. 

"I just feel that you're someone I don't have to be fake around, that's all. You're smart enough to see through the disguise anyway, so why waste the time and energy?" Meira flashed a bright smile to Daphne as she twirled a lock of her hair between her fingers. 

"What do you and your father want?"
