Capítulo 35: When we near the hidden treasure.

A huge temple was seen ahead.

A dome of the temple seems to touch the sky.  What an extraordinary temple. This white and blue colored temple attracted attention from afar.  My eyes are only on that temple.

It seemed that I had never seen such a beautiful temple before.

I could see the temple from a distance.  Yet Ripvan raised his right hand and said, "That is the temple of our Sun City."

Yes, I saw it.  The temple is very beautiful.

Ripvan said, "You know, foreigner, till today there is no worship in the palace that I am not present. But today I am in the temple with you. It is a great wrong to bring a heathen into the temple. That is the mistake I am going to make. I do not know what is on my forehead."

The colonel said, "Don't worry so much. We won't let anything happen to you."

While talking, at one stage we appeared in front of the temple.

As beautiful as the temple looked from a distance, it looked even more beautiful up close.  Beautifully crafted temple walls. Painting different types of amazing pictures on the walls.  Eyes widen when you see it. I saw pictures of some people on the wall. I was intrigued by the pictures.

I asked Ripvan, "Who are the people in this picture?"

Ripvan said, "These are pictures of the Incas of the Sun City. We have pictures painted on temple grounds to represent the Incas here."

I went closer and had a good look.  There is written under each picture of Inca.  I don't know their language. I could not even read their writings.

Mr. Philip said, "We must go inside without looking so much at the outside."

There is only one entrance to the temple.  We went in front of the door. Very big door.  About 16 feet long and about 8 feet wide.

The door is so huge that it is impossible for one person to open it.

"It takes a lot of people to open these doors," Ripvan said.

I said, "It is understood by looking at that door."

We all tried hard to open the door.

As soon as I entered I was shocked.

Inside there is a large area covered with statues of different shapes and sizes.

The colonel said, "We have to lock the door of this temple again from the inside. So that no one knows that there is anyone inside."

Mr. Haldar said, "The colonel is right."

We again closed the door with great difficulty.

I asked curiously, "Which god do you worship Ripvan?"

"This is not our place of worship. Our place is inside," Ripvan said with a slight smile in spite of his thoughts.

We all entered in submission.  Inside there is a huge statue on a high place.  There is nothing there except that statue. We took a good look around.  But I didn't see any door anywhere.

Mr. Philip said, "Ripvan now how do we find our way to the secret room?"

Ripvan said, "I don't know. But a good search of this room will lead to the secret room."

We searched for a long time but could not find anything.

We carefully checked the surrounding walls, the floor under our feet.  But to no avail.

We were all disappointed.  Suddenly it occurred to me that none of us looked behind the statue.

I went there quickly.  But I got nothing. Desperately returning from there, I stepped on a stone and fell on the statue in front of me.  The statue moved a little at my push.

 I screamed in excitement.

Mr. Phillip said, "What's the matter with you?"

nothing  All of you come this way.  Everyone actually I pulled the idol and showed them.

Everyone was very happy to see it with their own eyes.

I see a secret passage under the statue that goes down.

"This is the secret passage to the secret chamber," said Ripvan.

Ripvan went first and we followed him.  After a while the stairs ended in a room.

Everyone was surprised when they reached down.  There are one or four rooms.

 A new thought arose again.

I said, "Now how do we find the real room. I don't know what danger lurks in any room."

 Ripvan exclaimed, "Magic!"

 Magic?

Yes, Magic.  Among the four rooms here, one is original and the other three are fake.  We need to find the real room. Opening the door of Magic's room will lead to great danger.  So what you think of doing should be done carefully. After much thought, I could not figure out which was the real door.

I thought to myself, do we have to be disappointed in the end?

Stopping my thoughts, the colonel said, "One thing you should take care of."

 What thing?

You can see that the soil under the door has loosened a bit.

We noticed that the ground under one door was slightly loose and the ground under the other three doors was level.

I said, "Then come to the door under which the ground is loose."

 Yes, you are right.

So let's go without delay.  I opened the door and entered.

 We went to the door.

As soon as Ripvan put his hand on the door, it opened.

When I looked inside, I saw a huge wheel.  And inside the wheel is a huge wooden box.

We went inside. I looked around the room and saw nothing.

Mr. Philip said, "There is no danger here. We even entered the secret room. We did not face any danger."

We were all stunned and stared at the treasure.

Ripvan said, "There are supposed to be two snakes inside this room."

The colonel jokingly said, "Why? Are you upset that there is no snake?"

Ripvan said, "No, no. Not like that. I heard there were poisonous snakes in this room."

Stepping timidly and cautiously, I approached the wheel.  I looked at the ground and saw a thorn there.

I ignored the spot hoping to see the treasure.  But the moment Philip stepped on the spot, the room began to shake violently.

In the blink of an eye, two huge snakes appeared in front.  I moved back two feet in fear. The two snakes were so huge and so terrible that immediately Mr.Haldar screamed and fainted at the sight of them.

We took hold of Mr. Haldar and moved further back.  Mr. Philip is trying to wake up Mr.Haldar.

After thinking for a while, I said to the Colonel, "Look, Colonel, the two snakes are moving from that one place. They are not coming forward to attack us."

Does that mean?  What do you mean?

I mean these two snakes are fake.  It has only appeared to scare us. If it was real, it would have killed us with its poison.  And besides, Ripvan said that there was magic in this room.

The colonel said, "I understand. That means we are in no danger from these snakes."

 Yes, there is no danger.

Meanwhile, Mr. Philip woke up Mr. Haldar.  I told Mr. Haldar about the snake. Looking at Mr. Haldar, I saw that he was a little shy.

Ripvan was listening to us silently.

Now Ripvan said, "Then our luck is good. The treasure is in this room. Now only if we can quickly see the treasure and go back, we will be saved."

Let's move forward without further delay.

Underneath the place where the wheel rests is a huge and deep hole.  I threw a stone inside the hole to check how deep it was.

After about 19 seconds, there was the sound of rocks falling down.

Mr. Philip said, "That means the hole is very deep. Once you slip your foot and fall into this hole, you are sure to die."

I said in despair, "But the narrow path leading to the treasure is also turning with the wheel. How shall we go?"

Ripvan said, "There must be some way to get there. We just have to find that way with our hearts. Look around, everybody."

We searched the floor, the walls, everything.  I didn't get anything as expected. But at one place a picture was observed.  The image is divided into several parts. And keep each part randomly. It was not remotely clear what the picture was.  Go closer and see a picture of a statue.

Ripvan carefully examined the image.  Then he said, "This idol is of our god. Whom we worship."
