"sweetheart!..." He hugged her tightly as his heart chattered into pieces.

"Liam??..." Jasmine called weakly, wrapping her hands around him as she burst into tears.

"Sssh-sh!! I'm here now!" He hushed her.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" He asked disengaging from the hug and checking her out.

"He... He.. almost.." She stuttered, unable to speak.

"It's okay, I'm here now"

There was laughter from behind,, they both turned to look at the bruised Martin, struggling to get up.

Liam gritted his teeth and Jasmine clung unto him tightly.

"Why did you stop uh? You should have hit me with it.. I was so close!, So close to getting what I want..." He paused and staggered a bit, spitting out some blood.
