"Lurida terribiles miscent aconita novercae."
"Fearsome stepmothers mix lurid aconties."
-Poet Ovid
…
"I want one that can make my bad friend sleep forever without feeling any pain," Buluhani said these words as he observed the reaction of the physician.
The physician was surprised to hear Buluhani Ashraf utter these words even if he had veiled them somehow. He wondered if he was a spy sent to get him. No one that he knew openly went to a shop and requested with a straight face to buy poison for murdering someone they did not like. It was plain stupid and unwise.
The practice was; whenever someone wanted to get poison to get rid of someone they didn't like. They either concocted the poison themselves or approached a middleman familiar with apothecaries to get it on their behalf thereby maintaining their privacy as well as concealing their motives.
