Serena stood still as Geoffrey embraced her. Her mind confused as she wondered, was he acting this way because he already forgave her? Or was it that he did not believe any of what he read? Whatever it was, he was here for her. After everything she has done, he was still here.

Suddenly, her nose turned sour, and tears blurred her vision. The realization making her heart wrench. Why? Why did he have to be so tolerant? Why did he have to care for her this way? What has she ever done to deserve him?

In truth she wanted to embrace him back. However, her guilt would not let her. She doesn't deserve him. So, slowly, she pulled away from him. "Geoffrey, I…" she began while trying to keep her tears at bay.

Geoffrey gazed downwards and only then did he notice her attire. Before she can say more, he interrupted, "Why are you dressed this way?" he asked.
