The rumours about him and Phoenix were only spoken from mouth to mouth among the upper class circle and Tiana's modelling circle. No news outlet would be crazy enough to write about it without solid evidence. They were afraid to offend the Han's family. 

However, there were those entertainment journalists that tried to find out more about it, but nothing pointed out that Ethan fathered the twins or even had any interaction with Phoenix before. 

Ethan's claim that Phoenix was only a sister to him was proved to be true. A lot of people had seen Mia, Phoenix and Tiana hang out together a lot of times. There a few times, Tiana shared their hangout session in her social media account.
