Capítulo 18: 'I'd stay mad rather be cured of my insanity.' Vampires Are No Match For Wolves on A Full Moon

"And when I thought I couldn't love him more." She said, "But, minute after minute….I fell in love deeper and deeper."

Elijah Mikaelson held Hayley's hand.

"It's not like I forgot what he did in the past or what he is." She smiled, "To most of the people everywhere, he may be the most evil man ever. Even cruel."

She stopped for second,

"But if you could see, what I see. The light in his darkness is sometimes well hidden, and sometimes out in the open."

She laughed, "Or perhaps, I am simply going mad."

Several people laughed, Klaus Mikaelson smiled.

"But if I am this happy in my madness…..Then, I'd rather stay mad then be cured of my insanity….."

Elijah Mikaelson couldn't understand what she could see, and he couldn't. He planned on asking her later. He had spent a thousand years with Klaus, and lately, he felt that the scratches of humanity that were barely there in Klaus, were now permanently gone. But here, a girl, who hadn't known him long, was saying that she could see the light in his darkness. He couldn't believe it.

"At least, this way we'll be crazy together."

Something Elijah hadn't seen for decades now. Perhaps, Caroline was right….She was going mad. Or maybe, he just had blinded himself by believing that Klaus's redemption wasn't possible.

He didn't listen to rest of the ceremony,

"Elijah?"

Hayley shook him,

"Yes...What?" he turned towards.

"Everyone's going inside…" She told him.

"Is it over already?"

"Elijah...you were standing here."

"So, I was." He smiled distractedly.

"Your phone's ringing….Caroline!" Klaus looked at her.

He came down the stairs, and he threw the phone, she caught it in mid air.

"Excuse me…" Caroline was sitting with many people.

Several waiters were moving around the room.

"Caroline?" Elijah stopped her, "Can I have a word?"

"Just a second, Elijah.." She pointed to the phone. "I need to get this."

She told him. He nodded.

"This is Caroline." She took the phone,

"Caroline!"

She recognized the voice immediately.

"Katherine?" She cried, "What happened?"

She asked.

"I can't reach Stefan!" She yelled. "They..They took, they took….Zach! They took Zach, Caroline!"

"What?" Caroline jumped. "Who took him?"

"The Wolves!"

"Wolves?" Caroline said, "Davina put some powerful spells on him, I don't know…what happened?"

"I don't know….I need my son back!" Caroline could feel Katherine's emotions. She could feel she was crying.

"Okay..Okay..I am getting to it."

Caroline turned off the phone. She came outside, sighing exasperatedly, and holding the train of her dress. She collided with Elijah.

"I'm sorry, Elijah." She tried to go to the other side of the room.

"Caroline...I need to talk to you!" He stopped her.

"Not now, Elijah!" She tried to get away. "I need to talk to Klaus.."

"Just one minute, Caroline!" Elijah took her hand, he was impatient.

"NOT RIGHT NOW, ELIJAH!" Caroline shouted. "LET ME GO!"

She took her hand from his grip. She knew she was being rude, but right now, she didn't care.

"STEFAN!" She shouted,

Stefan Salvatore was standing by the bar, holding a drink. Caroline took the glass from his hand.

"Where the hell is your phone?" She asked.

"I turned it...off." He laughed.

"Oh My God!" Caroline shook him, "How much did you have to drink? Are you drunk!?"

"I don't know!" Stefan swayed softly, "Am I, Mom?"

"No more for him!" Caroline compelled the bartender. "Get him a coffee….NOW!"

She growled. She tapped Stefan's head sharply

"Listen to me, Stefan!" She told him, "Zach is in trouble...Drink the coffee, and Damn it, come to your senses!"

Caroline went to find Klaus.

"Klaus…" She went outside, Klaus was standing outside, holding his five year old daughter in his arms. Standing outside, alone….with his daughter.

"And, princess." Klaus told her, "I am going to take you someplace beautiful!"

She smiled.

"Have fun for once."

Caroline felt bad that she was going to break this.

"Klaus…?"

She came nearer.

"And look who's here…." Klaus smiled, turning towards her.

Hope jumped towards Caroline,

"Caroline!" She squealed softly.

"Sweetie!" Caroline took her, and kissed her on the forehead, "Don't you look pretty?"

Hope nodded,

"Sweetie, can you go find your mom for me?" She asked.

"Okay.." Hope slid down and stood on the ground.

"Thank you, Sweetie." Hope Mikaelson disappeared inside.

"What happened, Caroline?" Klaus looked at her, he could see she was worried.

"Zach.." Caroline told him, "Someone took him….Wolves."

Klaus's mouth dropped,

"But I left vam…"

"I know," Caroline interrupted, "But what match are vampires for wolves on a full moon!"

Caroline pointed to the ascending full moon that was upon them.

"Then, get Freya." He told her. "We need just a location, and I'll find him,"

Caroline smiled.

They went inside, Klaus cornered Freya, and Caroline went to see if Stefan was sane again.

"Caroline…" Davina Claire was standing in front of her. "Stefan Salvatore is looking for you."

She told her.

"I was looking for him." Caroline replied, "I am sorry...His son is in trouble...Have you seen Freya?"

She asked.

"No...But, maybe I can help?" She asked.

"No…." Caroline was deep in thought. "Wait…"

She stopped.

"You can!" Caroline looked at Davina, "If you find Damon or Stefan, can you take their blood, and do a locator spell."

She said quickly.

"Who are we finding?" Davina asked.

"Zach Salvatore."

Davina nodded, and disappeared. Caroline was frantically moving around the house, looking for Stefan Salvatore.

Caroline came back into the kitchen, she wasn't wearing her wedding dress anymore. The party was over. She had work to do.
