As usual, the divine beast on that celestial step unleashed their auras to crush him, Adriel managed to resist about 70% of it before covering himself with the mysterious energy barrier.

But he didn't dare continue the near-death-like soul tempering method he did before because the low-grade divine soul-nourishing light had completely depleted at this point.

However, he still had the energy to keep the mysterious energy barrier on, and with it, he proceeded step by step even the mysterious energy had little effect against the pressure he faced and Adriels soul had to suffer some of it.

He experienced different auras of different top-class divine beings as he climbed such as the high and mighty kirins, fiery luans, the proud and noble qilins, bloodthirsty nine-headed hydra, ten treasure ox, divine black tortoise, divine white tiger, a pixiu, divine fairies, elf's, dwarfs and even chimeras of different beasts along the way.

It was a thrilling experience albeit one filled with near-death situations.

But what had Adriel shaking to the core was his experience in the 90th celestial step!.

The scale and grandeur of the 90th celestial step were more than a hundred times compared to the previous celestial steps and oddly enough only two divine beasts were present there.

The kings of all divine beasts!

He encountered the kings of divine beasts the dominant Golden five flawed Dragon!! And the otherworldly seven fires Phoenix!, and when he did he felt like he was an ant in the presence of gigantic elephants, their figures covered the sky,

The golden five-clawed dragon was over several hundred meters long, its whole body was covered with absolutely stunning magnificent golden scales, it had a beautiful golden horn on its face, sparkling golden eyes and razor-sharp canines, it had four powerful hind legs with claws as sharp as the sharpest knives and finally two majestic golden wings that could spread as much as several meters.

As for the Phoenix, her appearance was a true beauty to behold, she looked like a giant eagle but far more sacred and perfect, her whole body was covered with beautiful feathers that filled with fantasy seven-colored light that made Adriel dizzy by just staring at then, her eyes reflected countless beautiful stars, an inexplicable fear arose in Adriel's eye when he met her gaze and she stood over fifty feet tall.

Together these two kings of all divine beasts stood tall on the 90th step and they trumped over every other beast Adriel encountered regardless of how big or how small they were.

Adriel could feel a serious difference in strength between these two beasts even though the realm of their soul bodies was similar.

As Adriel was admiring these magnificent beings an imperial voice mixed with unrivaled dominance and a hint of surprise reached his ears making him return his attention to the gigantic golden five-clawed dragon in the sky.

"Human you have done well to reach here, your willpower is not bad and makes you a little bit worthy to host any one of our divine beast souls" The golden five-clawed dragon proudly declared.

Even though he sounded like he was praising Adriel its tone reveal it felt total disdain toward Adriel and the other beasts below the 90th celestial step! And it was using this opportunity to declare his dominance and control in case he became Adriel's martial beast, he wasn't prepared to just serve Adriel when it left here but to be in charge!

'Little bit?' Adriel raised an eyebrow at the blatant disregard of his efforts and undiagnosed disdain on their faces.

He wasn't pissed off though rather he didn't care, he was already used to the arrogant nature of divine beasts at this point and he was looking forward to the look on their smug faces when they find out he wasn't here for them at all.

Moments after the dragon spoke the most beautiful and alluring voice Adriel had ever heard came from the Aloof seven fires Phoenix: "don't mind my friend here, he has grown delirious after spending countless years in the dark waiting for a beast master to fuse with"

"I understand, seems all divine beasts are blessed with arrogance" Adriel responded with an easy-going smile.

His voice was calm and carried no malice but the Golden Dragon immediately took offense and roared

"What did you say!?" His voice reverberated throughout the celestial step and the void shook.

As for Adriel, he didn't flinch, he just shrugged his shoulders and began to walk to the edge of the celestial step so he could finally reach his target.

Seeing Adriel ignore him the golden dragon bellowed: "human, where the hell are you going"

As for the Phoenix, she remained silent but it was obvious she was also curious about where Adriel was going.

Adriel didn't stop but he gave a short reply: "91st celestial step"

"(°^°)"

"You didn't come here to form an innate link with us?" The Phoenix asked her tone revealed surprise and she couldn't keep up her ice-cold demeanor anymore.

Adriel didn't answer this time instead he quickened his footsteps.

The took kings took his silence as a yes and intense anger grew in their hearts.

The golden dragon, in particular, was livid and he roared vehemently: "Bastard you dare look down on this great lord! die!" Then his whole body shook and he sent a powerful pulse of golden aura, His aura was golden and was as vast as an ocean and it felt so heavy that it could crush mountains!.

The air quickly turned heavier than steel!

The Phoenix didn't remain passive instead she released all of her aura, it was a scorching hot aura feel with seven different fires.

The temperature rose sharply!

Adriel felt like he fell butt naked into an active volcano that just erupted after building pressure for innumerable years, it hurt like crazy and his soul body light quickly became dimmer but he gritted his teeth and continued forward, his soul has gotten more resilient than before he started.

Roar!!

Seeing Adriel still standing and not completely crumbling under their powers the two king beasts let out a dragon roar and Phoenix scream.

These sounds traveled directly into Adriels mind, he began to experience a gruesome headache and he felt like his head was about to burst apart making him almost run mad!.

Adriel fell to his knees, his eyes were bloodlust and he almost stumbled down and gave up under the pressure of their immense presure, his soul body eyes reddened more and more even with the mysterious barrier around him.

The distance to the edge of the 90th celestial step grew shorted, 20ft... 10ft.....1ft finally he jumped up and left the two annoying kings.

Seeing Adriel leave, regrets arouse in the hearts of the two kings, they felt like begging Adriel to accept them but their pride wouldn't let them stoop that low.

"Hmmph, he will eventually regain his senses and come crawling back to us!" The Golden five-clawed dragon snorted to cover his feeling of loss.

As for the seven fire Phoenix she remained silent, lost in her thought it was unknown what she was thinking.

As for Adriel he finally reached his target!
