After capturing the twin brothers and destroying their base, Aldred dug more tunnels to search for the other bases. He found numerous of them scattered across the county, but they were smaller and weaker in comparison to the twin brothers.

After capturing enough criminals, Aldred and Maverick dug to the surface and went towards Monthiviers.

Maverick looked at Aldred who was currently caressing the long blade in his child form. It was impossible for him to use the blade in child form, but he could put it on his lap and take care of it like it was his companion.

"You like the sword that much?"

Aldred nodded. "I love it. I think there's really a spirit inside this sword. It can talk to me. I know that for sure. The skills that you saw I executed were taught by the spirit of this sword."

Maverick laughed bitterly. "I guess the weapon chose its owner. And it deemed me as unworthy."

"Maybe it has specific taste in people."

Maverick laughed. "Yeah, I think so."
