Capítulo 66: You never know who was listening

"Please leave this room. Including Manager Jacques."

Jacques scrunched her nose up, looking at Maddison from head to toe incredulously. She pointed at herself with her mouth agape.

"Excuse me?" she gasped, telling herself she had misheard Maddison. 

"You should leave, Manager Jacques. Miss Luca wants to change."

"And since when did I need to leave when she's changing?"

"Pfft —" 

Jacques and Maddison turned their attention to Luca when the latter burst out in laughter. 

"Lu, did you teach my dearest Maddison how to behave like this?" Jacques frowned, knowing Maddison was too gullible and always listened to Luca. Luca must've given Maddison a signal to do whatever Luca had in mind. 

"Oh, Jacques. I'm just teasing you." Luca shook her head before turning to Maddison, waving dismissively. "I'm simply testing if she remembers."

Maddison pressed her lips into a thin line and cast Jacques an apologetic look.
