Capítulo 40: Shackles 2

Theo roared in pain when the first set of shackles hit his skin. He had managed to stun a few of the guards in the same way as he had the first, but there were too many of them now. They were able to pin him down and secure these horrifying devices on his paws that felt like they created fire in his veins. 

Once they were on him, he immediately went limp from exhaustion. Whatever was on this metal was like some kind of kryptonite for lycans. And why wouldn't that be the case? Of course fucking vampires would have some kind of horrific anti-lycan material to make his kind unable to fight back. As if the fight wasn't already skewed enough in their favor to begin with. 

Two of the royal guards picked him up and carried him across the beautiful green lawn that smelled like spring storms mixed with his mate's scent and toward the palace where she was kept somewhere inside. This pain was excruciating, but somehow her scent comforted him.
