Finally, John sighed. "I met your mother once in the Sunshine Forest."

"Oh, how was she?" Sophia bit her lower lip. 

"She looked healthy." He stopped as he didn't know how Sophia would react to hearing his following words. 

"And?"

"Now, it's the tricky part. I know nothing about it, so don't jump to a conclusion before we have more information."

"Yes, you said it already. Please, tell me."

"Your mother was with some people when she came to Sunshine Forest."

"Who?" Sophia's voice was pitching higher.

"Alpha Dominick Haynes, then his daughter. I also saw a pup with them."

"A pup?"
