Capítulo 17: Deal!

Brolen was just as angry as Tuly, telling him, "Yes, I did give you the information. But just now, I saw Hira and Grisa sell the parts of the Lizak. Guess what they did? When I asked for my share as the one who gave you the information, they said I wouldn't get anything. We've already done such deals in the past, so why the hell are you going back on your word now?"

"Why?" Tuly stepped out of his residence and confronted Brolen face to face. "Because you told me that that was a young Lizak! It was supposed to be an easy job. But do you even have any clue what that Lizak did? It used Cyclone Sweep! A skill that only adult Lizaks can use! We almost got split in half because of that! It was due to pure luck that we noticed it in time and dodged it. Everything around us, trees, rocks, ground, you name it, was slashed apart in two! And now, after almost killing us, you come here and ask for your share? Fuck you!"

"What?!" Brolen was taken aback to hear that. "That's impossible! That was definitely a young Lizak! First of all, if it was an adult Lizak, you guys wouldn't have survived regardless if you dodged the first attack or not! Are you trying to create an excuse to just not pay?"

"Hmph!" Tuly didn't relent. "Do you think so? Then why don't we wait for Grisa and Hira to come back? They went out to sell the Lizak's parts as adult ones. If they get the price of an adult Lizak, then that means I'm not lying, right? After all, who would pay the price of an adult Lizak for a young one?"

Brolen was very much willing to do so. "Is that so? Alright! I'm sure that was a young Lizak! Let's wait and see! And don't try to fool me by adding your own coins with the coins you got from the Lizak. It's an easy feat for me to go out and investigate how much the buyers paid for your Lizak parts."

Those two then sat down in front of Tuly's residence and simply waited there. Both seemed to be extremely certain that the other was wrong and they were right. As they did that, Brolen noticed the three new people Tuly brought back to his residence. "Are these the slaves you almost got in a fight with Grak to keep for yourself? Even if that chick among them looks pretty good, I don't think you're the type who would challenge Grak just for free pussy. You could simply buy one if you wanted."

Tuly snorted in response, saying, "And what does that have to do with you? Since I got them as slaves, that's because they've performed well enough for me to take them in. Have you ever seen me do anything without reason? I would be dead by now if I did."

Brolen and Tuly might be on bad terms, but they knew each other very well as they had made deals during the last few years. "Well, that's true. However, I'm certain I'm right on the Lizak case. You will see it soon."

Eventually, Grisa and Hira came back from the market, seemingly happy with the deals they got.

"Oh, Brolen! So you did really come after Tuly, huh?" Grisa couldn't help but say.

"Hmph!" Brolen was more interested in the coins they got, so he went straight to the point. "Now, tell me. How much did you get for the Lizak parts? Since he was a young one, I believe his leg bones and claws, which were the only thing that mattered, went for 30 silver coins, more or less."

Tuly also told his piece. "If that Lizak was truly an adult, then it definitely sold for more than 80 silver coins."

Grisa shook her head, saying, "Both of you are wrong."

"Wrong?" Brolen and Tuly were taken aback.

Hira, who held the coins, passed the money to Tuly and said, "Check it for yourself. We got 50 coins for the claws and leg bones."

"This..." Tuly and Brolen quickly checked the bag and soon found out that there were truly 50 silver coins there. "How come?"

Grisa then explained, "The appraiser told me that it was indeed a young Lizak. However, it was a mutated one with much stronger bones. That's why it was able to use Cyclone Sweep, but only once. With that being said, the bones and claws were worth 50 silver coins, right in the middle."

Well, that was enough for Brolen nonetheless. "Whatever! The fact was that I was right! Now, give me 20% since that Lizak was definitely a young one."

In response, Tuly took out 5 silver coins and passed them to Brolen. "You will get only 10%. Sure, it was a young one, but it was a mutated Lizak. You didn't mention anything about it being mutated."

Brolen's mouth twitched after hearing that. "How the hell do you expect me to know that the Lizak was mutated? It was identical to any other young Lizak, for fuck's sake!"

"Remember that we almost died because of that. Be happy I'm paying you anything at all, and that's just because of our long relationship." Tuly held his ground.

Brolen narrowed his eyes and put the five silver coins away before saying, "Heh... it seems you don't want to hear about the Coral Bear that appeared recently."

"Coral Bear?!" Tuly was shocked to hear that. "You're lying!"

Brolen shrugged his shoulders, telling them with an indifferent tone, "I was planning to pass this information to your group. However, since you don't believe me and aren't paying me the right price, then forget it."

Grisa and Hira's eyes were shining, thinking about what they could get from the Coral Bear.

In the end, Tuly gritted his teeth and gave Brolen five more silver coins. At the very least, Brolen's information network had always been good. "Alright, take these coins. But you better not be lying, or I will come back for your neck."

Brolen smiled brightly in response. "20% of the coins, deal?"

"Deal!" Tuly immediately agreed.
