"I am listening!" I said calmly.

"I want you with Ian!" Katheran whispered. "I want you to keep an eye on Ian and not let him have any thoughts or actions against his father!"

"Your Highness, I'm afraid I can't do that. As you said, I always screw things up. Besides, no one can influence your son's decisions! Not even me!"

"You can! Because you are Ian's weakness. I believe you have a way!" Katheran said in a warning tone, "And I know your weakness! Your family!"

I was stunned for a moment. The cold wind from the window quickly brought me back to my senses. The fear and uneasiness in my heart slowly turned into disgust and resentment.

"Again?" I said coldly, "You could have discussed it with me. Why do you always threaten me this way? Is this the way the power holders treat people? Great! You win!
