Earlier on when Liu Xueyi informed Xu Fang of his plan, the latter was shocked at the weird thought going through his friend's mind.

"You're sick, Xueyi! How can you send your girlfriend's crush to…" Xu Fang shook his head. Liu Xueyi was unbelievable right now. 

"Well… I thought… rather than me going there and a different or ugly scene occurs why not allow someone who has eyes for her do it "

"Can you hear yourself?" Xu Fang threw his hands in the air. "I said it, you've gone insane. It's Xie Tian we are talking about. You want both guys to contend for her attention. And what would that leave you in?"

Xu Fang had a point and he was being stupid to have thought of doing such a thing.
