Capítulo 82: Another chance to chase you

Nick ate only two bites before he turned to look at Vanessa who was calmly eating her meal without saying anything to him. " Why are you being so nice to me?" When he signed the contract with her, he was prepared for a long-term acceptance, denial and being forced to do things that he didn't want to like a typical case of servitude to the mafia, not having a pleasant meal like this. 

" Do you want me to be cruel to you?" said Vanessa as she placed the knife and fork in her hands on the table and looked at him with a tilt of her head. " I can if that's what you want but I don't think that you will prefer my cruel side, I hope you won't because I am afraid that you will be scared of me forever." 

"That's not what I mean," placing his cutlery down as well, Nick stared right at her. " I meant …don't you hate me? I rejected you, doesn't that mean that I sort of wounded your ego? So why are you being nice to me? Aren't all mafia supposed to be ruthless?"
