Ava's blood thrummed. Her adrenaline spiked as she vanished and reappeared just a few meters away from Matthew.

Ava snapped her fingers to cast a spell to protect the place from peering eyes and ears. She knew it would become noisier.

The Hunt was on.

And her body was humming with excitement.

She could smell him, she could sense he was close. She could easily use her magick to pinpoint his location.

But she didn't.

That would completely erase the thrill, the excitement.

Ava closed her eyes. Magick was flowing inside her body. It was hot, her body physically hurt. But all she could think of was him. 

She could sense his anger earlier. His emotions were distorting, and he wasn't doing anything to hide it from her.
