Capítulo 145: CH. 144: Any More Than You Already Have

The dinner party went on as per schedule, obviously a few of the researchers were late. They didn't even wish to come but this is formalities so they had no other choice.

Half way through the dinner, Adrian took this chance to speak with Cyrus.

"Are you really okay with that woman now?" he asked when he pulled him to the side far from people's ears.

Cyrus, who just realized that something was wrong with him, was still not in the mood.

"Taking interest now? Did that woman complained to you?"

"Cyrus!! I treat you as my son. Your father was my greatest friend. I am worried about you since that person took so much from you. And stop calling Amanda that woman. She is your mother."

Cyrus laughed sarcastically, "I'm amazed, your words are completely contradicting."

Adrian looked at Cyrus, as compared to when he saw him this afternoon, he seemed to be in a bad mood now.

"What did that person do to you? Did she push herself to you again?"
