"You don't think—" Marli's words froze in her throat when Sly walked into the kitchen.

We froze at the sight of a person we thought had already gone to work.

Unlike how he was when he left my room, this morning.

"Sir—"

"What were you up to?" His eyes went straight to me, and they narrowed when he saw my clothes. "What are you putting on?" He frowned at me.

"Clothes." I got down from the stool that I was sitting on and walked toward the door. "We will continue our discussion, later."

With Sly, here, I don't think having a conversation with Marli will be appreciated. He might seek ways to make me feel guilty for speaking with her.

"Where are going to?" His eyes raked over my clothes, and I saw his Adam's apple bobble up and down.

Phew.

Wearing this cloth wasn't a mistake like I thought it was. At least it got me the exact reactions that I want.
