Capítulo 201: Tread Carefully

***ALEX'S POV***

Chestnut invited me to her home for lunch. She lived alone and worked alone in there, so there were no servants or anything to cook for her. She was an independent woman that did things on her own. I remembered from the character's mind that the other village leaders often had women that were not mated to a male taking care of their home. It was like a sort of community project to take care of the village and the chief at the same time. Not with Chestnut though. She was different.

"So, Isabelle, what is your plan? Do you know when you might want to settle down?" Chestnut asked as she put a plate in front of me. It was filled with various vegetables and fruits, but there was a small piece of meat that she had made just for me. She was an herbivore, so she didn't eat it herself.

"No, I don't know when that might happen." I used the fork to take a bite of the food. It was really good, another reason that I was happy that I came here with her.
