Capítulo 145: A Visit From The Keeper

***JAKE'S POV***

I was on my way back toward the roof access door when Archer stopped moving. He had been walking right next to me, but for some reason he just stopped in his tracks. It was like something caught his eye and he froze to look at it.

"What is going on, Arch?" I said as I turned to look at him. He was just standing there looking toward the door. He wasn't moving. He didn't look like he was just contemplating or anything like that. In fact, he was truly frozen.

He wasn't moving. He wasn't breathing. He wasn't blinking. It was like he had turned into a statue. That was also when I realized that I had stopped hearing the traffic from the street below. There was no sound or movement around me at all. It was like everything in the entire world had frozen. Everything except for me that is.

"Archer?" I walked over to him and waved my hand in front of his face. I knew that it wouldn't help, but I did it anyway. "Archer?" I called out to him again.
