The town was a lot less lively than I remembered.

"Where has lord gain gone?"

"I heard he went on an adventure to the east to secure our future!"

"I heard he has gone to the null!"

"Ah- such a gentleman!"

"I hope he's safe."

"Of course, he is! He's the strongest!"

"I heard he even made a deal with the demons!"

"Wait- really? Then we can expect demons to intrude us?"

Lots of raging thoughts-

People were talking way too much- and openly too…

"What is going on here?" I whispered.

"You see-" Gorbam answered. "People have gotten quite gutsy these days… and they really like you." 

"Wait, where the hell did you come from?" I asked.

He grinned. "Seeing you in good health delights me, my lord!"

The guy showed up almost the moment I managed to squeeze out a question. 

"Flattery ain't getting you anywhere…" However- "How are things here?"
