He knew he had been sending her mixed signals about his intention since meeting her, but he could not help it. Honestly, he wanted her so much, but at the same time did not want her to get scared and run away again.

"I am not good with emotions, but if we would treat this as a negotiation, then maybe we could find some compromise that would benefit all of us." Adam began, knowing that lives were at stake, but he could not lie to her.
