Once they had left the Bloody Dawn ship, their escape was simple. Some guns fired at them as they flew away, but by the time shots were properly being fired in an orderly manner the transport was already out of effective way. Upon arriving back at the Obera ship, Gus and the two Obera made their way to the cockpit of the Obera ship.

"Why would he do that? What was the point in him throwing away his life like that? It's not as if he couldn't have escaped with us as well, once we'd got to the transport then we would have been fine."

He had an answer in his mind, one that he had experienced himself. But he didn't know enough about the Obera to draw that conclusion, nevermind Paverio as an individual.
