Alric was relieved to see Fiera was alive and well. The same could not be said for her limousine, which resembled an opened sardine can. It stood outside the apartment complex and attracted the attention of the onlookers. Afraid of possible repercussions, they only lingered for a short while before hurrying along.
However, the angel was less happy about the fact that his apartment was now crowded with her, Zan, and the two elite guards. The latter were glued to their phones, debriefing Rin and discussing the next steps. Zan walked around, sniffing every corner of his apartment like a dog.
"Well, this is quite the illustrious party here," Alric dryly said, massaging the bridge of his nose.
"I-I'm sorry to impose on you," Fiera muttered shyly. It was not quite like her, but he guessed today's events had shaken her.
What followed was an awkward silence as the two observed the chaos in his apartment.
Suddenly, the fox said, "Pride, there's something you need to know."
