Owen's pov

Waylen pulled her closer and hugged her.

It was at times like these that I can understand why she chose him.

He knew her…God, he knew her, maybe even more than I know her and I have known Emily for a very long time, all my life actually.

But he's Waylen, there is literally nothing he can't do, the rest of us are still playing catch up to the guy.

"Hush, my love….he is here now. He will meet her now"

Emily scratched the back of her hair before pulling away.

"I need a shower"

"Go on, I will get her to quiet down and then check on the twins" Waylen answered.

Emily turned around and walked out.

"Emily…"I tried to go after her but Waylen spoke.

"Give her a minute to calm down, Owen"

Waylen 's voice stopped me.

He went over to the crib and he picked the baby up and he started to rock her.

I kept my distance.

I don't know why but I did.
