“Alright, don’t forget when you go home today to practice the song we learned today to count by tens! Why is it important that we practice?” I asked my very rambunctious class.

Looking for one of my students who still had focus at the end of the day on a Monday. Mondays and Fridays were my struggle days with my kids, after a weekend and right before, always giving them cause to want to rush out of class and go to carline. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

“Yes, Mary!” I responded excitedly when I saw Mary’s hand raise in the air. She was normally my shy student.

“Because practice makes perfect,” Mary responded.

“Yes, Mary! But remember, perfection isn't always important! It’s what we learn on the what…?” I asked the class.

“Journey!” the class yelled back.

“Have an amazing evening, class! I am so proud of all of you!” I called after them as the bell rang loudly.
