"Thank you all for coming!" King Jeer's voice thundered in the hall. Obviously not many people were happy with the news that he already had a maiden and one that was hard to surpass in terms of beauty and background.

Another thing that created waves of astonishment especially for his ministers and the nobles that hailed from Fireland was that, this would be the first time they had seen their King in close contact with anyone at all.

It was the first time he had held someone because it was widespread knowledge that Jeer did not like physical contact of any nature and that was also why the ministers had thought that an arranged meeting from the ball would be the best chance for him to get a queen.
