After Sigmund left the room he was in, Matthew sat still, staring at the floor beneath his feet. He suddenly felt confused after hearing the news about his mother a few months before he was resurrected.

"She never gave up on me. I even almost gave up on my life. When I decided to go to Switzerland to end my life, she forbade me and introduced your father to me," said Matthew with his head hung low.

"If your mother were such a strong woman, she would not surrender to her illness. You have to trust her." Lily straightened up and put her arm around Matthew.

Matthew nodded his head. "But now that hope has been dashed. I killed your father. He's my mother's only hope."

"Have you forgotten who you are with right now?" Lily asked.

Matthew lifted his head and looked at Lily.

Lily smiled widely at Matthew. "I have everything needed to remake the serum. I need a laboratory to continue my research."
