“Go ahead and get stretched out, and we’ll begin in a few moments,” Trainer Joe says as I sit down on my mat next to Alice. My best friend is giving me an odd look, and I'm not sure why. I talked to her last night in the mind-link to let her know everything that had gone on, so she’s up to speed.

Well, not everything. I didn’t tell her a lot of details about what’s going on with Micah. I didn’t think that was her business. Maybe that’s why she’s looking at me like that. She wants to know what’s going on with us and ask me a million questions I’m not prepared to answer. She’s probably not asking because she knows if she asks me, I’ll ask her, and she can’t possibly feel like admitting to me that she is starting to have real feelings for Eli.
