Chapter 31
Barbara was about to run out in a hurry, but Jason blocked her way.
"Brother Jason..."
Barbara's forehead made a 'bang' sound, and she bumped into his arms. Afterward, she quickly regained her senses and took a step back.
Then, She stretched out her hands and pulled a corner of her dress in embarrassment, gesturing for him to let her go.
But, Jason gently rubbed her head and said, "I asked Jean to let you out of the Church for some time."
"Want me to go out?" Barbara, who was already shy, suddenly became even more flustered.
"Brother Jason, why do you want me to leave the city? Is there anything you need?" Barbara asked with her head down.
She kept looking down with her feet constantly shifting around.
Is Jason asking her out on a date? Barbara felt so embarrassed thinking about it.
But still, there was a faint hope in her heart wishing it to be true.
But Jason poured cold water into her expectations, "To train and level up. Our group just lacks a qualified healer like Barbara..."
"That's it!?" Barbara couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. She thought he was finally asking her out on a date.
Like they say, the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.
"Huh?" After hearing her reply, Jason was stunned and then realized something wrong with Barbara's mood.

So, he smiled and tried to make her happy, "Well, another reason is that my mood will be better if I see a cute girl like Barbara every day!"

Training to fight is not her goal. She knew that she had no talent for battle.
Having a Vision is enough to guarantee her safety inside the city.
Her dream is to heal everyone with her singing and bring a smile to everyone's face.
"Barbara, I'll take you out of the city this time to practice together..."
"Don't tell me you want to feel tired after treating others like before? So, you need some training to get stronger and have more elemental energy at your disposal for healing more people..." Jason advised her.
He didn't want to see Barbara draining herself every time for treatment.
Although Barbara did not actively absorb nearby leyline energy.
But because Mondstadt is surrounded by Cider Lake, the atmosphere is rich in hydro elements. Living in an environment filled with abundant water elements has improved her strength, reaching level 5.
As for wanting to further level up, it is basically impossible without a battle and proper training.
"Oh, you're talking about this..."
"Thank you brother Jason!" Barbara realized his care and joyfully thanked him.
Jason must have guessed the reason for her exhaustion and asked Jean to allow her to leave the city for some training.

Suddenly Barbara's stomach started growling.
She blushed in embarrassment, took Jason's hands, and pitifully looked at him, "Brother Jason, I'm hungry..."

After saying this, Jason and Barbara went out of the attic. On the way, he briefly introduced her to the travelers and left them to chat with each other.
Afterward, he quickly left the restaurant and entered the alleys for a shortcut.
After some time, he arrived in front of a tavern with ease.
[Angel's Share] was the name of the tavern.
"Welcome!"
"Oh!? It's Boss Jason! Did you come to see Master Diluc?"
At the door, Patton, who is responsible for attracting and receiving customers, said in surprise after seeing his arrival.
Jason rarely visits Angel's Share tavern.
So, Patton couldn't really think of any reason for him to come here other than to visit Diluc.

"Master Diluc is not in the pub today..." Patton shook his head.

Then, he sat down next to the counter and asked the bartender, Charles, for a cup of Apple Cider.
Charles is the bartender at Angel's Share who has been employed there by the Dawn Winery for more than a decade.
After receiving the drink, he went to the tavern's second floor and sat down next to the railing.
Apple Cider is a freshly squeezed, fashionable, and fruity non-alcoholic beverage. Said to have a solid sobering effect, tavern patrons often order this as the last drink of the night.
From this angle, he can see the main entrance of the tavern while drinking.
And, places like taverns are most suitable for gathering information.
After sitting for such a long time, he had heard no less than five times nearby customers discuss the matter of the traveler becoming the honorary knight of Favonius.
Diluc took more time to arrive than he expected.
After more than an hour, a handsome and graceful figure arrived in front of the tavern.
Diluc glanced in Jason's direction on the second floor.
Then, the two of them nodded meaningfully.
Diluc came in with a key and opened the door to the third floor of the tavern.
While walking on the spiral staircase, he asked, "Boss Jason, you are a rare visitor to my tavern. Do you need another drink?"
"Well, I would like to taste your treasured wine if possible..." Jason quickly locked the door.
The drinkers on the second floor showed envious expressions after hearing their conversation.
Only Boss Jason can receive such a warm invitation from Master Diluc, right?
Angel's Share's most prized wines should be on the third floor, which is not open to the public. They really want to take a sip of those treasured wines~
However, contrary to their belief, neither of them was drinking.
Both of them sat down on sofas next to each other.
Diluc raised his legs gracefully and said, "There is a new supposed leader of the Abyss Order codenamed 'Prince'."
"The recent actions of the Abyss Order should all be directed by him." Diluc added.
He got this information from the all-night interrogation of the Abyss Mage captured before.
"Unfortunately, I could not find the real purpose of their actions." Diluc regretfully said. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't pry out this information.
He thought that Jason came to his place for information related to the Abyss Order. After all, they participated in yesterday's actions together, and Jason was naturally qualified to know his finding.
"Is that so..." Jason pondered, feeling relieved that nothing went wrong with the plot. According to his memories, the man behind the Abyss Order should be Lumine's twin brother, Aether.
Then, he smiled at Diluc and said, "But I didn't visit you for this purpose..."
