Next morning, I checked my bracelet.

It increased by one if it goes on like this, I could reach rank 1 in two more days. I cleaned myself, wore my uniform and went downstairs for breakfast. Like yesterday I ate the free meal. I met up with Annie and Harry they had dark lines under their eyes looks like they spent their night meditating.
I was like them on the ship but after a few days I got used to it.
"You are eating free food again" Annie looked at my plate.
"So, what are your plans for today, we are planning to look around the school after free classes. Want to join us?" Harry looked into my direction.
"Sure, let's do it" I have been planning to look around.
After breakfast we went to the free class provided by the school. A wizard wearing black cloak came in she had black hair and glasses, she looked young and beautiful. "Goodmorning I am Wendy a rank 1 wizard, today I will be teaching you the basics, first what is mana, it is the energy around us that gives us power. It gives a knight their constitution, helps monsters grow and gives us wizard over magic. For knights' mana is stored in their heart which makes them stronger, but for wizards you need to have a crystal in your brain called core, it is what helps wizard store mana.
Mentality is the amount of mana a person can store in their core, after a certain stage the core becomes part of your brain and body but that's for later. To absorb mana we need aptitude, aptitude is the amount of mana you need to absorb to increase one mentality. That means higher the aptitude faster can the wizard absorb mana and increase their mentality of course there are other methods to increase your mentality but meditation is the best one.
Now we are going to introduce runes, spells and rituals. Runes is the language of magic we make artifact, spells, meditation techniques using runes. Spell is a structure made from spells. Rituals are spells that require us to use ingredients or catalyst they are like spells but permanent hence the most dangerous.
So, any doubts. Since you don't have any your welcome." Miss Wendy walked out just like that before any of us could speak. It was more of a speech than a class. Does that mean I have to get into classes with merit points.
"What is with that class, she did not even wait for us to ask questions" Annie was clearly unhappy.
"Come on sis, it's the stuff dad taught us we know most of it. Let's go look around the campus." Harry said looking at Annie like he didn't care about Wendys class. Annie followed him still angry about the class.
The first place was near the castle walls, there where students selling and buying stuff, all of them where either students or graduates who couldn't become a wizard.
There were many shops selling variety of stuff from magic tools, potions, weapons, maps and recipes, and other miscellaneous stuff. Away from the market was another building, the building provided missions to students.
After that there was a fight between two apprentices, when they were about to use magic some students with Dark blue cloak with a snake pattern jumped in and knocked both of them and took them away.
"They must be the disciplinary committee; they are in charge of law and order within the campus. All of them are at least Rank 4 apprentice. If you cause any trouble here, I hear they take you to prison underneath the campus." Harry said in creepy way.
After that there is the private labs where students can practise their research, the shooting range to test spells. There were a lot of places on the campus but we couldn't see the whole place before getting dark.
After saying bye to Harry and Annie I went on my may to the library and went into the spell's sections, I took a non-elemental meditation technique which cost only 30 merit points, the receptionist took the book from my hand and transferred its contents into my bracelet and kept original back to its place.

Under the merit point column. I learned from Annie that the meditation techniques and spells are transferred to us using the bracelet and I think the bracelet provides information to the school. It helps them keep an eye on the students, I didn't want to stand out, if they realize I have a meditation technique with me they will look for my background. I wasted 30 points but that's the price to pay for keeping my secret.
I went to my room and practised the moonlight meditation. The next day I decided to pay 2 merit points and study runes from one of the teachers. The wizard's name was Armin he was rank 2 and explained much better than wizard Wendy. I guess that is the difference between paid and free classes. The professor said I had a talent in runes but I wasn't the only one Lucy who was taking the class too had better talent than me in runes.
Two more days passed, in these days I did nothing but meditate and read some books in the mind library.
I met up with Annie and Harry like usual and I heard that both Damon and Lucy had broken through to rank 1 apprentice. There were many around Damon like his loyal dogs and some girls around lucy apparently Lucy remains cold distance herself from most of them. I think that's normal Lucy is a commoner she knows when people are praising her because they want something in return, unlike Damon. There seems to be some rivalry between the two, they never speak to each other and would scorn at each other often, well its none of my business.
Two more days passed. At night I stood up from my bed and checked the bracelet it showed

Rank 1 wizard apprentice
Rank 0 turned to rank 1. finally, I am now a rank 1 apprentice now I can learn spells. I went to Olaf and took the Analyze and Copy skill, I read the spell book more than 10 times apparently Analyze and copy are two different spells. Analyze helps one to think faster and trace the surroundings, while Copy helps to duplicate anything and store it in the library. First, I should touch a book then analyze it then copy it. The spells should be further improved when ranking to a wizard. The copy spell is easy but analyze requires me to draw a symbolic rune on two White Raven eyeballs. Where can I find a white raven eyeballs. I should check the market tomorrow.
The next day I spent the time with Harry and Annie like usual, I did not tell them about my breakthrough. I should tell them a few days after Annie breaks through.
I did not go to class instead I went to the market I went to the store owner who sells monster part and asked him for the eyeballs.
"Two white raven eyeballs that would be 200 merit points" the shopkeeper looked at me and answered.
"Could I get a discount I only have 163 merit points" I looked at him with cute eyes.
"If you don't have enough merit points then leave, these are used to make expensive potions" the owner was angry.
I walked away dejected I could sell the magic stones and do some odd jobs but I would lose a lot and what if the spell fails.
Wait I have some weapons from the bandits and about 20 potions I made although they are not magical, I could still sell them for merit points.
