Using the charges the MC gain the skills and memories of that version of himself.
For example the MC gained the memories of the DND Wizard version of his self. That version of him was raised in Exandria and was taught Goblin, Giant, and Celestial over the years.
With it he also as a variant human he gained a feat which I chose the Artificer Initiate to gain access to the cure wounds spell and some more arcane knowledge.
So when he used the Hogwarts knowledge he gained the knowledge of a straight A student that attend hogwarts at its prime where he studied Runes.
