Nicolai blindly walked over to the riverbed and started to clean himself up. 'Gosh it's in my nose!!!' he hurriedly wiped his nose.
"Here," Dylan sat down next to him and poured a handful of water on his face.
Somehow this made things worse. The Mud flowed down into his eyes and ears.
"Ow! It's in my eyes! It's in my eyes take it out," he hurriedly tried to wash it away but the grimy dirt did not budge. The eyes started to burn slightly.
"Shit don't panic. Here." Dylan suddenly lifted him up.
"What are you doing!?"
"I'm taking you deeper into the river. Just dunk your head and open your eyes underwater." He whispered ever so softly.
Nico obliged. He did as he was told and the dust in his eyes was gone long after. Taking a deep breath, he slicked back the soaking wet hair out of his face. "I think that the mud was mixed in with poo,"
"I think so too," Dylan let out a laugh.
"Do I smell like poo?"
"I think you do," he whispered with a small smile.
"gods.,.." Nico dunked once again but as he did, he noticed something. Underwater the shirt he had tied around Dylan's waist was floating up revealing his poker stick which was hard as a rock. It slightly even slapped his face.
In shock, he swiftly swam up. "You!"
"What?" Dylan innocently glanced at him, whilst wiping the water off his cheeks. "You still smell a little. Why don't you take a dunk again? Maybe it will be washed away,"
Blushing, Nico looked at him with a small glare. 'This brazen guy. Look at him acting like it was an accident when he slapped my face with his dick!'
Sensing his sour mood, Dylan was completely confused. "Why are you glaring? Is the dust still irritating your eyes?" He moved close, gently cupping his face.
Nico stepped back but the uneven floor of the river made him stumble and fall into his arms.
"Your eyes are red." He whispered, caressing the side of his eyes. "is it still in there?"
"You stupid fellow! Get lost," Nico pushed him away and swam up to the shore.
Right by the shore, he spotted the baby brown bear looking at them frozen in shock.
"Oh…. Shit…." Nico stepped back. If the cubs are here, the mother bear is probably close by.
his gun was still by the mud ditch.
They were screwed.
His back hit Dylan's chest.
The rustling sound became louder and the huge mama bear walked out of the bush. Its glaring eyes fell on them and it roared.
"What are you doing you, bozo! Run!" he dragged Dylan and rushed to the other side of the shore.
Brown bears are good at swimming and climbing. Climbing a tree or swimming away was useless. even running was useless. When you provoke a bear like this, the only option is the appear big and let out a loud sound and hope and pray that it will be deterred from pursuing them.
Dylan instantly shifted into his wolf form. his blue eyes changed into a deep golden shade and he let out a threatening growl.
The bear was about six-foot-tall standing on its hind limb and Dylan was just five feet tall but he made up in size. His body was much more agile and sleek.
The bear let out a huge growl threatening to swat at him.
Dylan dodged it and bit into his arms.
"Dylan don't engage it! You run! It can hurt you badly!" he shouted but his shouts were ignored.
The two beats rolled around on the floor biting and clawing at each other. They rolled into the river trying to best each other.
Seeing this made Nico panic even more.
'I have to stop this madness.' He hurriedly rushed over to the other side and picked up his gun. His reluctance to kill the bear was long gone. If his Dylan was hurt by any means he would not hold back.
He placed the gun's barrel on his knees and shot the bear accurately. It hit it right behind its ear.
The bear let out a loud roar, screaming in pain. Its blood dripped down, staining the river pink. Dylan took this distraction to chomp on its neck, strangling it down into the water.
It struggled a lot. Its huge paws clawed into Dylan's back.
Nico saw blood and started to panic again.
"Shit shit shit… this can't go on," he swam into the river and shot the paws that were tearing at his back.
The bear let go and after a few minutes of struggle, the bear was snuffed to death.
Dylan let go of it and glanced back worriedly. His golden eyes peered at his hands and his legs searching for open wounds.
"I'm fine. I'm unharmed. Wolfie.. your back. It's bleeding so badly,"
The wolf tried to lick its back, but it was physically not possible.
"Come out of the water. I'll help you clean it up," he used a hand full of water to clean the gaping wound. Beneath his thick three-inch fur were four claw marks.
