There were also a few things that changed in their mansion. First of all, Melissa had finally accepted Clementine to be her lover. She was very sure that her feelings for him are not just a fragment of gratitude. Melissa knows from the very start that she loves Clementine with all her heart. And that feelings became clearer for her after she saw him for who he really is. 

The two of them lived their days with smiles and full of love in their hearts. At that point, Clementine was very sure that Melissa is the one for him. And so, he proposed to her and asked her hand for marriage. Naturally, Melissa agreed and promised to love him with all her heart for the rest of their lives. 

Everything was ready except for the fact that Duke Harrison was not pleased with their plan to get married. The duke was still skeptical about Melissa. Duke Harrison was not sure if he can accept her to be his daughter-in-law.
