Capítulo 230: Vietnam Part 2
I was really shocked at what is happening to Wanda.
"Is this a new power you developed?" Natasha asked.
"I don't know, that's why I came to talk to Alex" Wanda answered.
I didn't know what was going on with Wanda either, I don't remember her having the ability to regenerate.
"You said you also feel stronger, right?" I asked.
"Yes, without using my powers I can easily carry heavy things, look" Wanda said as she lifted my desk.
"How did you find out?"
"I found out when I was training with Laura. I didn't get tired like before, when she injured me by mistake, it healed and after some tests I realized that my strength also increased" Wanda answered.
I look at her, from her appearance I don't see that it is something bad, but at least we must make sure.
"Let's go see Maya and make sure there's nothing wrong with you" I said as I got up from my seat.
Wanda just nodded.
So Natasha, Wanda, and I headed to Riri's lab.
As we entered, we saw Riri doing maintenance on one of her suits.
Upon seeing us, she asks:
"Hey Alex, Wanda, Natasha, what's up?"
"Hello girl, we are looking for Maya" I said.
The girl approaching us says:
"Aunty Maya is on a project in sector two of the laboratory, I'll take you with her"
Nodding our heads, we follow her.
"Why are you looking for her?" Riri asked as she walked.
I explain what is happening to Wanda.
Riri is surprised.
Upon entering sector two of the laboratory, we see Maya.
"Aunty Maya, Alex needs your help" Riri said as she approached her.
Maya stops what she was doing and walks over to us.
"What's wrong?" Maya asked with a smile.
I quickly explain what is happening to Wanda.
Maya falls silent for a few seconds before saying:
"For the moment, we will make a medical diagnosis to rule out any problems"
We agreed.
Maya took Wanda with her to diagnose her.
While I was waiting for Wanda's diagnosis to be finished, a group of people arrived at the lab.
They were the Council members, Laura and Illyana.
I look at Riri. The girl smiles at me and says:
"I called them"
"What happened to Wanda, is she sick?" a worried Polaris asked.
Riri explains the facts to them.
"I see, it's actually strange that that happens" Mystique said.
"But it's not uncommon, there are mutants that take time to awaken to their full potential" Magneto said.
"I just hope it's not something bad" Irene said as she carried Illyana in her arms.
"For the moment, let's wait for the results from Dr. Maya" Jessica said.
After fifteen minutes, Maya and Wanda came back.
Approaching Wanda, I ask her:
"So, everything went well?"
Shrugging, Wanda says:
"I don't know, Maya hasn't told me the results"
I look to Maya for an answer.
Maya smiles and asks:
"What news do you want, the good ones or the incredible ones?"
Stunned by her question, I answer unconsciously:
"Well, first tell me the good news"
With a smile Maya says:
"Congratulations! You are expecting a child, Wanda is pregnant"
"Huh?" was the only thing everyone in the room could say.
