Capítulo 5: Laura Kinney Part 1

As a scientist you want to make the world a better place.
Where people can overcome their weaknesses.
But working on the "installation" was a mistake, the research was to recreate The Weapon X in order to use its powers to help people.
In the end I found out their dirty secret, they were creating a new generation of genetic weapons (clones) using genetic material from the mutants.
They would be the perfect weapons; the only problem is that they couldn't control them.
When I discovered this, I confronted them and wanted to resign, but instead they forced me, threatening to kill my family.
To recreate The Weapon X, I had to use part of my genetic code to complete it because the sample was damaged.
In the end, only the subject X-23 survived. And since she had part of my DNA, I considered her my daughter.
Because of this bond I gave her the name Laura Kinney. As a clone of The Weapon X, adamantium was used in her claws.
For the next years I had to watch her being mistreated by Zander and a crazy woman named Kimura.
The first mistreats her for being a descendant of The Weapon X that killed his father and the other just does it for fun.
Not supporting this anymore I made a plan with some acquaintances to save my daughter and the other children to get them out of this place.
The plan went perfectly, we took the children to three safe places that not even a telepath can enter.
By the time they discovered me I was escaping with Laura to one of those safe places but Zander seemed to be able to follow me.
He found me before reaching the safe place, so I escaped in a vehicle accompanied by Laura but in the end, they surrounded us and we couldn't escape.
I was injured due to the persecution and I knew it was fatal. The only thing that kept me alive was not leaving my daughter alone.
As they pulled us out of the car, I wished from the bottom of my heart that someone would save my daughter before I died and leave her alone in this world that has only been cruel to her.
