Capítulo 12: Documentation Book
The strange incident that he saw right in front of his eyes made Alex raise an eyebrow, now he has been kicked out of Nada's house with the excuse that his mother will be home soon.
"Asked but not answered, suddenly I was told to go home just like that."
Walking into the yard, he saw his car which had disappeared from where he had left it. Turning his head towards the open garage, he found that his car was dry and clean there.
Not to worry anymore, he stepped into the house saying hello. "Hi, Mother!" call him.
Alex's house, which is quite large, looks beautiful, in contrast to Nada's house, where the air feels very tense.
In the past, the house was empty and every time someone inhabited it, surely no one would last long.
"Yes, dear..."
There was a middle-aged woman who still looked beautiful, approached Alex with her pajamas clinging to her body.
"I want to ask you something, but let's go to the home library first, shall we?" he asked in a voice that sounded serious, he was waiting for an answer from the woman who was now lying right in front of him.
Hearing Alex's voice that sounded serious, as a parent, of course, she understood what Alex wanted to talk about, surely it was something important.
Her name is Olivia, a woman who currently only has one child, namely Alex. Live with a maid in this big house if her husband and son do have activities outside the home. She has a very positive nature, is kind, and also doesn't forget to be very understanding.
They finally walked towards a small library that was deliberately built in this house considering the leader of the house —Alex's father—, likes to read even on holidays he takes time to be there just to read and increase knowledge.
Alex walked first as if leading the way. He remembered something he didn't believe before and he always kept it in his mind.
Once in the library room, Alex's hand closed the door again.
Lamps with yellow light are certainly very suitable and friendly to use when reading, not too painful for the eyes because they can be blinding.
Olivia stopped right next to Alex who was currently stopping by the round table. "What do you want to talk about and why did you bring Mother here?" She asked curiously.
Alex looked at Olivia seriously, then sighed. "I believe," he said with a firm nod.
Alex's answer confused Olivia. "What do you believe?" She asked as if demanding a more detailed explanation.
Realizing Olivia didn't understand what he meant, Alex immediately walked to the shelf to look for one of the books he was going to discuss this time.
His mind wandered when he remembered what happened at Nada's house, on the one hand, he still couldn't believe it but he managed to see directly in front of him very clearly.
"I believe this." Alex replied as he took out a maroon-colored book with an old engraving that said 'Mirror Seizes the Soul', he raised his eyes to look at Olivia who seemed no longer stunned.
Olivia nodded her head, then moved to one of the long sofas in this library, then she landed her butt there. "I'm sure you'd prefer to listen to my explanation while sitting down," she said as she patted the sofa beside her an empty body.
Alex nodded his head, approached his mother, and sat down as instructed. "Explain to me, I have seen everything. Weirdness and confusion, I feel it all." He says.
"Where did you see it?" Olivia asked.
In the end, Alex explained from the beginning that Nada asked him to go to the girl's house until finally a strange incident in Nada's room a few minutes ago, the woman looked very frightened by her reflection in the mirror.
Alex's story just flows, of course, he draws a common thread from what happened to the woman next to him.
"She was chosen?" Olivia asked.
Alex nodded his head. Previously, he had been told this kind of story by Olivia. Unfortunately, he is too realistic and thinks it's just a myth from the people who live in his area which is also embedded in his mother's mind. But it turns out? Reality itself immediately showed him that everything he thought was a myth as fact.
"Could I be the chosen one too, Mom? I mean, it's not that I want to be in Nada's position. Hey, no one wants to be in her position! But, I think I want to help her."
"No, according to the story, they don't want to target random people. They also say that if that person hates each other, you are safe."
Alex also never thought of falling in love with Nada who wants to plant a heart and spend time with a strange woman?
He began to open the book in his hand, it was immediately clear that there was a picture of a figure who did not know who made it because it was a drawing with pen ink.
"Scary," Alex commented upon seeing the figure. This was the first time he had opened this book, but not the first time he had seen it because Olivia had shown it to him before and he didn't think it was important.
Olivia nodded her head. "Yes it is very scary, but I still doubt the description of their shape because there are many types and sometimes change."
After that, Alex continued to the next page of the book and there was what looked like a small piece of torn shirt that he didn't know who it belonged to. "What's this?"
This documentation book about the incident involving Mirror Seizes The Soul, all the evidence, even the description, and explanation is there. People have disappeared time and time again after occupying the house that Nada now resides in, but each movement only takes one victim.
Why not just demolish the house long ago? —the house that Nada is currently living in has just been renovated— At the very least, complaining to the authorities about this matter led to many deaths.
Yes, Olivia has reported many times. But the police said that what this woman described as a hallucination in the sense of not being real. Even the police also say to always keep your mouth shut if the house is 'dangerous' in other natural conditions and there are always new people like Nada who don't know anything about the history of the house they live in and are suddenly targeted by evil creatures.
"But I can't see them, I only know that Nada is afraid to see herself in the mirror. But when I look in the mirror, all I see is the reflection of Nada's body as normal, could she see something else that I can't see? "
Olivia nodded her head. "Nothing can prevent this because the only people who can see 'them' are someone who belongs to the target, and also a psychic for sure."
"Let's call the psychics to take care of this because it will take another victim, save Nada to stop the case that has been running relentlessly for years."
Then maybe after this, what Alex thought was a Myth came true.
And what's more, Olivia knows everything, yes, Alex's mother.
