Lin Xi didn't want to bother with Zhao Ling'er any longer and decided to reject her outright.

"I am really not interested in teaming up with you. Please do not mention it again in front of me again. There is no way I am going to accept your proposal, now or in the future."

Zhao Ling'er was staring at Lin Xi with pitiful eyes. She had never expected to be rejected in such a straight forward manner. She opened her mouth twice for speaking out but no words came out of it. It was like she had lost her voice.

At last, when Lin Xi was about to leave, Zhao Ling'er managed to pry out some words from her rebellious mouth.

"The least you could do is to tell me the reason for not accepting the proposal. I am sure that it is very beneficial to you but since you have been so uptight about it, can you tell me why? Maybe we can negotiate and make up some new terms that are beneficial to the both of us."

Lin Xi was fed up by now and threw out some words before leaving.
