The temperature was pleasantly warm, even at night, and Nyxthalia, the silver moon, shone in the sky, illuminating the darkness.
After an entire day of discussing with other nobles, Lord Eugene just wanted a bit of peace. To that end, he always made his way back to the Lower City, where he felt at home.
Born and raised in the Lower City, that place of narrow, muddy alleys was his home, and it was where he felt most comfortable, despite the contrast between day and night in the city.
During the day, honest people walked back and forth on their daily tasks in search of survival, and only the desperate had the courage to commit a crime. However, the night was different.
During the night, patrols in the Lower City were reduced and concentrated in the Middle and Upper City, giving space for those who hid from the law to act.
