Eleonore’s POV
Just as soon as the realization hit me, and I stared back up into Hayden’s face I felt my stomach drop. When I looked back into the eyes of the man who was in front of me, it wasn’t his face I was seeing anymore, but a large, twisted version of it.
His eyes seemed like they were enshrouded in shadows and my scream was so loud and shrieking that I was too shocked to think that it was a sound I could have ever made. Suddenly, I pushed Hayden off of me, or the thing that used to be Hayden, and sprinted as far and as fast as I could.
When I stumbled onto the floor of my bedroom, I found myself falling down, and my eyes shot open with fright as I gasped out loud.
It was just a dream.
It had all just been a dream.
