I could feel the smile that broke my face as I saw him walk toward me.

Rhett had been gone for a few days to handle some important family matters, and though the two of us had kept in contact over the phone through text it still wasn’t the same. I found myself missing him a lot more than I thought I would and, selfishly, wished he had stayed even if it had just been a few days.

“Hello gorgeous,” he greeted me with an equally pleased smile. I felt my nose scrunch up as his arms wrapped around me, and he spun me around once before setting me back on my feet. “You been alright?” He asked and I nodded my head.
