Maria was taken aback hearing such an answer from him as she literally left searching for words in reply to that. Good that he wasn't sparing her any glance upon saying that or she might have suffered a severe case of blush.

"What would you need those for? I think I made it clear that I can't be something to be played with." she was too grateful that her voice remained steady despite her nervousness.

Zeronis finally turned his head in her direction.

"Who says I'm playing?"

"Looks to me." She confirmed.

"Do you think that people like me only know frivolousness?"

Maria took her time in digesting his words which came a bit sharp as the moment went by. The wine might have done it but she felt like she was conversing with a completely different person on that balcony. 

"Then tell me what will you do with the price you uttered."
