Capítulo 6: Chapter 6

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Mary Ann has yet to return from her hometown, which has made the princess unhappy. Lady Elsa did not enjoy having a maid assigned to her because she missed her maid. She reasoned to herself that if she proposed to her maid in front of everyone, the Duke and Duchess would remove her title and banish her to a place where she could start living with her crush and also start her business as a tea manufacturer because she was an expert in tea tasting.

But she also worried that Mary would feel strange and disgusted dating a girl, but a few days later, Lady Elsa received a letter from Mary Ann informing her that her mother had been recovered. Lady Elsa was overjoyed because her maid was returning. Suddenly her eyes widened with shock as she fell down the chair as she continued to read.

"My Lady, are you okay? I'll get the doctor," the maid said as she dashed to summon assistance.

Lady Elsa began to tremble and cry so hard that she passed out. She was rushed to her bed and remained there for two days. Mary Ann was sitting next to her when she opened her eyes. She was overjoyed and wanted to hug her, but then she remembered the letter. Mary Ann was startled awake by a small noise.

"My Lady!" exclaimed Mary as she hugged her. Elsa could smell and feel the comfort of her aloe Vera-washed hair.

"What happened, my Lady? I was told you fainted suddenly, and the doctor said you passed out suddenly with no casualties; are you okay? "Mary Ann was questioned

"Yes, My Dear, I believe it was fatigue; it's fine. Please request that the chef bring me some hot soup, and you may depart and continue with others as I require a full day of rest "Lady Elsa stated

"Certainly My Lady," Mary Ann said as she exited the room.

Elsa, who was in the room, dashed to her table, where she found Mary's letter and read it again. The letter not only mentioned the maid's return, but also that she was to be engaged to the baron's fourth son in the next Spring (Next Year) as a debt of gratitude for the baron's assistance to Mary's mother. She dropped herself to the wall, trembling.

Her tears began to fall, as if to cover her face. She was disgusted with herself; what was she thinking? Mary Ann clearly only loved her as a master, not as a lover. She was so disgusted that she froze and refused to think about loving her any longer.

Days after her illness, Lady Elsa secretly requested another maid from the butler and assigned Mary Ann to the Main House with permission from the duchess because she was impressed with Mary's work.

Lady Elsa went for a walk at the main house one day, and she approached her. She saw her and wanted to call her, but she became terrified.

""Oh Mary Ann, it's great to see you have been promoted, how do you feel working there?" the lady inquired. "It's been great, my lady!" Mary Ann replied. I'm well compensated, and I enjoy walking through these halls; it's like a museum full of surprises "Mary cheerfully stated

Lady Elsa was pleased that Mary preferred to be here rather than in the lady's room. Seeing her smile on her lips made her want to kiss her, but she was too shy to do so in front of everyone.

"Mary Ann, it's been a while since I've been in these halls; would you like to accompany me and only me and give me a tour?" asked the lady. "Certainly, My Lady," Mary Ann replied, escorting her while Lady Elsa dispersed her maids.

While Mary Ann gave a tour, she thought that if she pushed it any further, their relationship would break, but in the end, she knew a couple of days that Mary Ann was given the main hall but she was upset that she was not to serve the lady which made her sick, today, when she met her, she was amazed as if a dog was waiting for her master after so many days.

They truly missed each other, she smiled. She adores Mary and is certain she adores her, but without confronting her, she learns from one of the maids that Mary Ann rejected her proposal because she did not want to, and her sister, who adored the Baron's son, married him instead.

Though she now has the opportunity because Mary Ann is once again a maiden, she feels as if their paths have been diverted. Her thoughts had just been on Mary Ann.

"Please, Mary Ann." Lady Elsa called out, "Yes, my Lady," to which Mary replied

"Do you want to come back and work with me?"The lady expected Mary to decline the offer, but instead Mary hugged her master.

"Yes, My Lady, I can't leave without you; you're like a sister to me," Mary said.

Lady Elsa, seeing her maid in tears, breaks down and hugs her. They looked like real sisters who had been separated for a long time when they were reunited.

Mary Ann was overjoyed when she was asked to continue serving Lady Elsa after a few days.
