Capítulo 67: Rest in Peace
As June renders her past, her eyes become teary. The teary eyes made her wipe her dripping tears. Her nose was blocked by the gloom on her face. She took long breaths. She wiped her eyes for any remaining content there. She wiped her running nose. Lin Cian smiled at her. The narrated past about her was really wonderful and painful. To have such a past one must need a large amount of courage. Lin Cian leaned forward and turned to look at her face. She was sitting on the right side of the tree and was bowing down as her face was seeing the ground. She was quiet and only the sound of her breath can be heard. Lin Cian saw the smile on her lips even if her cheeks were sour and her body was tired. It was genuine and real. It was not a forced smile. Lin Cian took away his glance from her. He decided to give her some space. So he sat leaning on the tree once again. But now his body was not rigid. He didn't feel gloomy. He had no complex expressions or feelings. He learned something new and valuable. It made him rest in peace.
Lin Cian felt relaxed. His body was not rigid instead it was quiet and untensed. He raised his hands and placed them between his head and the trunk of the tree. His body felt energized. He closed his eyes and after a few minutes, he fell asleep. After an hour he suddenly woke up upon realized something. He had heavy eyes when he woke up. Suddenly he heard a pleasant voice. He recognized that the voice belongs to his sworn sister. He was greeted by June. "You are awake?" she asked with a smile. The smile didn't seem to be forged but a real one. "Hmm..." Lin Cian limited himself unconsciously with a drowsy tone. He was not fully awake. He felt very sleepy. Seeing him being in that state June chuckled at him and laughed with her mouth closed. She opened her mouth and "Just lie down. I am here" she said. Even though he was not fully awake he smiled at what he heard. Then he took a deep breath and closed his bloodshot eyes which is a result of being disturbed in his sleep. He felt very tired and groggy. Finally, he once again fell asleep. June smiled at herself looking at Lin Cian. She caressed his head. She set aside the hair on his head covering his face. In the previous fights, he did make his hair messy. He may not be very tired physically but what he did need for the time being is having a good sleep.
Upon looking at his face she let a sigh. She heard some footsteps coming toward her. The footsteps were not very loud or very quiet. The low bushes let her sense the presence of the person walking toward them. She looked in the direction from the corner of her eyes. Even before seeing the person her lips started to form into a smile. She quietly ran behind the tree to the person who was walking toward them. "He is asleep," she said in a lovely yet playful voice. "You are there for more than an hour... Are you just watching him asleep?" a muscular voice invaded her ears. She blew her lips and nodded with breaks in between. It was her husband coming for her. She held his hand with both her hands and swang her in the motion of a pendulum. She then pulled his hands and they both started to walk just to give themselves some privacy.
Once she recovered from the exhaustion of energy she was greeted by Harry's smile. After chatting with him for some time Harry asked her to comfort Lin Cian because he thought Lin Cian may feel bad about the incident with Wei Li. It took a few minutes for her to find him before William directed her toward Lin Cian's direction.
"Do you say he did it?" asked Harry which made her frown. She looked at him with a frown on her face. He understood what she meant "no... no... I mean... his constitution was not strong enough to handle those... How could he..."
"But he did it... You have to believe me" she said to her husband with a mixed tone of worry and embracement. "Of course I trust you" he replied her wife while gently caressing her hair on her forehead. She smiled at him as the corners of her lips went extremely to their corresponding sides producing a humming sound like a child. Her eyes were tightly shut and the meat on her cheeks settled under her eye bags.
The fact is Harry couldn't believe that Lin Cian summoned that mysterious rain. He had many questions which are not possible for him to answer. Everyone accepted the fact heard from June but this mysterious person was still cocky and prepared an exam for her to answer his questions. He still seems not to understand what happened. He wanted to figure out everything but he couldn't.
He let a deep sigh. "Let it be. I am more than happy to know you are safe" he said to her. Her face suddenly titled down. She turned her face a little left from her husband and covered it with her right hand placed on her cheek to avoid eye contact with him. Her lips with smiles and chuckles transformed into an embarrassing one. Harry simpered at her in understanding. She was embarrassed to look at him. She always said to him that she is strong but she efficiently proved it wrong as time went on. He extended his hands and caressed her hair and gently patted her shoulder. His expression changed into a colder one. "If you ever lie to me I will eat you alive," he said with a cold and serious tone. June was shocked to hear it. She looked like she was frozen to death. She had her mind blank at the moment. Her limbs refused to move and her heart refused to pulse. Her eyes looked at him in a lifeless but eager way. That was when harry started to chuckle. In a blink of an eye, the chuckle transformed into a hard laugh. The hard laugh knocked some sense into her for which she became so angry and hit him in his chest with her hands closed. Her muscles on her face said that she was pissed off. She repeatedly hit him on his chest for which only his laughing grew stronger. She was on the verge of a breakdown. She clenched her fist on the clothes covering her thighs and her head was tilted. Her face purely expressed her anger. When she was just a blink of an eye from crying, a big hand pulled her and the next moment her body touched his body as she couldn't escape because a hand was stopping her from her escape. She calmed down a bit and rested her head on his chest. It felt very warm. She didn't open her mouth and stood silent. He apologized to her and they did some couple chats.
Meanwhile, William came to Lin Cian and sat beside him. His eyes were fixed on Lin Cian as he saw him sleeping with his hands beneath his head and sitting erect. William wanted to explain to Lin Cian for being angry with him. He wanted to say once Lin Cian woke up. So he sat near him and wait for him to wake up. Lin Cian slept for a few more hours because he knew someone will protect him. He slept like a dog would when it was full and tired.
